In the countries where the coverage area of the 3G Network is rare and almost the region is on GPRS Network such as Indonesia, the need of knowledge how to make the shortest way to switch between your networks is a must. Basically Nokia doesn’t provide a default shortcut, which of the customer can use it for convenient. So, this step can make you a step further. Ok, this step is you can try:

• Press Menu -> tools -> setting -> phone -> network -> network mode -> now you can choose either UMTS (3G) or GPRS Network

Otherwise, you can choose the simple way after network mode above: dual mode. But, this option can consume your battery a lot.
